COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the San Francisco Discovery Gala might look a little different this year but our passion and commitment to fight cancer is unchanged. The health and safety of our immune compromised supporters, volunteers, staff and community at-large are of utmost importance. Please see below for important safety details which we will continue to update based on local information.
Proof of Vaccination Required
In accordance with local mandates, all attendees are required to provide proof of vaccination. Valid forms of proof of vaccination are:
o Original, copy or picture of your CDC vaccination card
o Documentation from a healthcare provider
o Personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by the State of California or by an approved private company
All attendees are required to wear masks, unless eating or drinking.
Recognize COVID-19 Symptoms
The CDC has identified the symptoms of a COVID-19 infection. If you have one or more of these symptoms on the day of the event, please stay home. If you are waiting for COVID-19 test results or have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for or who has COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home unless you get a negative test result before the event. Note that a negative test does not negate the need to provide proof of vaccination.
People who have underlying health conditions or taking medications that weaken the immune system, should talk to their healthcare provider before attending large gatherings.
We appreciate your understanding and if you are unable to attend, we hope you will continue to support our mission by donating here.
